We are so excited for our Carols by Candlelight dinner, an annual Wetherby-Pembridge tradition where parents and staff celebrate the holiday season. This year we have chosen Pediatric Cancer Research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) as one of our charitable partners. MSK is the world’s oldest and largest private institution devoted to prevention, patient care, research, and education in cancer.

Many of us have loved ones who have benefited from MSK, who are recipients of treatment, are survivors, and we have supported MSK for years.
25,000 children around the world will be diagnosed with cancer this month alone. Too many of us know people who have faced a cancer diagnosis, and sometimes it is hard to know how we can make a difference. One of the most effective ways to help is to make sure the crucial work being done at Memorial Sloan Kettering continues to have the support that will drive it forward. MSK clinicians treat more children with cancer than any other hospital in the world. MSK leads the way in researching and introducing new therapies to children around the globe. By funding pediatric cancer research, you are giving every child hope for a cure.
The participation of our entire community is very much appreciated. Your incredible generosity as our parent body is something that defines us as a community and will help so many others. To complement the parent fundraising efforts, the children will be making gift baskets for the patients at the Pediatric Pavilion, who cannot make it home for the holidays.
