Last week we celebrated Passover and the Easter Holiday weekend. Sunday 21st April saw the annual NYC Easter Parade and Easter Bonnet Festival on Fifth Avenue, a New York City tradition that stretches back to the 1870’s. Starting at 10am and continuing until 4pm, the parade marches north on Fifth Avenue, from 49th to 57th Street. Like many New York festivals, this fun family day is widely observed and Spring is certainly in the air. WPNY hosted their very own event at the School on Thursday last week and I was delighted to see the resounding effort made across all year groups. Well done to our winners for ‘Best Hats in Year!’
I love this time of year – our parks, terraces, waterways, gardens and squares across the City are looking quite beautiful. In terms of the School, my team and I thoroughly enjoy watching the fruits of the year’s work flourishing and your children have hit their stride and making progress we should all be proud of.
On Tuesday 23rd April, I attended the Daffodil Breakfast at the Battery Gardens Restaurant – have you seen the Grade 1 daffodils in the 96th Tree well outside the front doors? I am sure you will agree the School is looking fine….
