It was an action packed and fun afternoon at our annual Sports Day with all year groups, from Pre-Kindergarten to 4th Grade taking part. The afternoon kicked-off with a drum and flag parade with the three houses, Braeburn, McIntosh and Russet, represented. The sense of excitement was palpable with all the children focused on competing and winning points for their house.

All children competed in three separate events – a football relay, rugby relay and individual race. The football relay required agility and concentration to guide the ball through an obstacle course, whereas good hand-to-eye co-ordination was needed for the rugby relay and speed was key for the individual races. It was lovely to see true team spirit with all the young athletes encouraging and supporting each other and lots of parents cheering from the sidelines.

A wonderful afternoon with the children enjoying a well-deserved ice-pop at the end. Many thanks to Mr Kinsey for organizing the event. The eagerly anticipated results will be announced at our prize-giving ceremony at the end of term. Who will be the winners – will it be Braeburn, McIntosh or Russet?
