On Tuesday afternoon, we flew into our annual Sports Day at Asphalt Green. As ever, the weather did us all proud and the children looked wonderful in their coloured house bandanas and face paints! The coaches from the French Football Federation joined us to run a fitness football station and the winners of the house logo competition were pleased to see their designs on the house flags, which were held high as the houses marched in, to the drums! It was a good afternoon with children demonstrating their sportsmanship and skills and it was good to welcome you, our families to share in the experience after a few years of being away. The winners of the 2022 Sports Day Cup and the 2022 House Cup will be announced in our final assembly on Wednesday 8th June and the scores are looking quite even at present with everything to play for in the final few weeks of term. I hope to see as many of you at the Bowling parent and staff event on 31st May as possible and I am sure this will be another fun social event and another chance to add a good hoard of house points to the yearly student totals.

The Musical Production and its filming have been in full swing in the last two weeks and looks fantastic! We look forward to seeing you all online for the premiere on Thursday 26th May at 6pm! Ms Bartels and her team have been working hard to produce an impressive performance, and I am most grateful to them all. The Grades 2 to 4 have also been invited to the Queen Elizabeth II Garden in Hanover Square for a Platinum Jubilee Garden Party on Wednesday 25th May from 3.30pm. They will take part in all the fun activities planned for the afternoon and then sing ‘All you need is Love’ with other students in New York. It should be fun event to celebrate the Queen’s 70 years on the throne and I know they are all looking forward to it. Ms Alba now has 20 WPNY students lined up for our Summer Music Festival and Concert on Monday 6th June at 5.30pm in the Founders’ Hall and all are welcome at 7E96 to celebrate. Our final Summer Prize Giving events are underway in their planning and we shall be voting on and selecting final awards as a team on Tuesday evening next week.

Can I also remind you to reply to Mr Stephenson if you are interested in signing up for our June Summer Camp. We have had an excellent response so far, but there are still places available, so do get in touch to book your time with us, as the summer holidays begin. It was such a hit last year and enjoyed by the staff as much as by the children!

See you at all the events shortly and we have such a memorable end to the school year planned for everyone.
