As students enter the Middle School at Wetherby-Pembridge the curriculum is geared to preparation for successful exit to the top US, UK and international Senior and High Schools. The School facilitates all required test and interview preparation and as students enter Grades 7 and 8, quality guidance and provision are given to create future school portfolios and application forms.
The curriculum is balanced and academically competitive with focus given to Biology, Chemistry and Physics, advanced Maths mastery and a diverse appreciation of literature in English. Robotics, competitive sports, rowing, performing arts, dance, music and excellent choral opportunities infuse the weekly schedule.
As students reach Grades 7 and 8, roles of responsibility are offered in most areas of the School, including Prefects, Sports and House Captains and Librarians. Opportunities to excel at debating, young enterprise and accelerated fundraising and more altruistic pursuits are also on offer. Residential trips to local and international destinations form an integral part of the students’ development and enjoyment of the School.
